The humidifier is not too heavy. It weights a little over 5 pounds. I love the Honeywell brand. It is very trustworthy and reliable. The humidifier is extremely quiet which is a plus for me. The only drawback is that the humidifier runs over 300 watts. If you are concerned about higher electricity bills, then this might be a problem. Overall, I love the quality of this Honeywell warm mist humidifier.
